For Grant Alexander and Lucy Divine, this is a reality. When their best friend, Jason, goes missing after a botched break-in at a federal building in New York City to recover a stolen artifact, they are not only desperate to find him but also being pursued by a rogue faction of the CIA, the same group responsible for Grant's father's death.
When a recruiter approaches them, promising protection and resources, the two fear they're signing up to work for the world they're trying to escape. Yet if they decline, Jason along with all of their loved ones will remain in danger.
